Lee County, FL (March 5, 2020) According to Florida Highway Patrol (FHP), an 18-year-old Leigh Acres male driver was trapped in an SUV on Winkler Road. The vehicle was speeding causing it to flip over when the driver lost control.

The single-vehicle crash happened between Gladiolus Drive and Cypress Lake Drive at S. Brandywine Circle.  The driver’s legs were trapped in the SUV, and it took 30 minutes for crews to get him out, according to witnesses.

Two minor females were passengers in the SUV.

All three were taken to the hospital, according to FHP.
