Cape Coral, FL (November 19, 2019)  The Cape Coral Police Department responded to the scene of a crash with serious injuries on Veterans Parkway and SW 20^th Avenue. The crash happened at 11:29 p.m. Monday night, according to the police department. All lanes were closed overnight because a tree blocked eastbound lane of Veterans Parkway.

The Cape Police have not yet reported the cause of the crash, but its forensics unit was on scene investigating. They did say the crash caused serious injuries, and at least one person went to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.
