Cape Coral, FL (March 12, 2020) Cecilia Hamm, a Cape Coral mother, lost her husband and son to a wrong-way drunk driver in April 2019. Last night she almost lost her second son to another wrong-way drunk driver.

Ms. Hamm’s son was fixing a car that broke down on the side of Veterans Memorial Parkway in Cape Coral. Noydes Mas, the drunk driver, veered off the road. According to the crash report, the impact damaged a side mirror and injured the son’s arm, causing it to swell.

Ms. Hamm took off and chased after the fleeing suspect and was able to provide police the license plate number of the suspect’s car, which led to his arrest.

She is thankful her son is recovering.

Noydes Mas is in custody facing two DUI charges and a charge of hit and run.
