Spivey Law Firm, Personal Injury Attorneys, P.A., is proud to again support the Cape Coral Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 33’s annual back-to-school “Shop with a Cop” Event. Every year FOP Lodge 33 with the Cape Coral Police Department hosts an event taking underprivileged children to shop for school necessities. Active and retired members of the police department volunteer to take these local students out and buy items they may need for the upcoming school year. This event allows families in need to lessen the financial stress that comes with back-to-school time.

This program is hosted for children from less fortunate situations, children in foster care, and handicapped children to shop for things they need. The Cape Coral FOP 33 personally escorts children to shop for school supplies. Not only do they help the children buy school supplies, but also clothing, shoes, backpacks, and other necessities a student may need to succeed in the upcoming school year. Spivey Law Firm is happy to again support this event. Education is important for Southwest Florida’s youth, and it is important that all children, regardless of their background, can succeed. 

The Cape Coral FOP relies on donations to fund this event, and they hope to increase the number of children they can help benefit every year. In previous years, this event was a success, and these children were well prepared for the school year. The children participating are truly grateful for the opportunity to shop for back-to-school needs and enjoy their one-on-one time with a police officer from the Cape Coral FOP Lodge 33. 

The Cape Coral FOP hopes to include more children than in previous years and ensure their success in the upcoming school year. All the efforts from our local police officers to help children in our area prepare for the school year is appreciated by so many people in our community.
